We so very much enjoy hearing about your day at Ski Brule! This page is a compilation of letters and email received that we'd like to share with you!

· 11/23/12 Bob Biagi

Just got back from an outstanding weekend at Ski Brule. Thank you to Lisa and all the ladies in the lodging office. All the Gentlemen in the Ski Rental lodge. All the folks on the hills. Everyone at the Homestead BBQ. I have never been to a more friendly, courteous, and helpful resort than Ski Brule. There was nothing but smiles and great people handling the operations. They are the reason this place is #1. Hope to be back soon.

Subject: always fun!

Last Sunday, on the 15th, we took one of our trips up to Ski Brule and, as always it was a great day.  We live in Stevens Point and will try other hills and every time we say, “Yeah, it was fun, but it just doesn’t compare to Ski Brule!”.  The reason is always your outstanding customer service.  You are just fantastic with getting us through the rental process with our kids, child care, and ski wee depending on the year we come.  Five years ago we started coming with our one year old Victoria and put our two older kids in Ski Wee.   Victoria’s picture is still in your brochure sitting on a staff member’s lap (and they were so great with her that day, and she was NOT at her best!!)  Bethany and Sam were then about nine and six and loved ski wee.  We have done private lessons for them since and every year we love coming back.  This year, Victoria went to Ski Wee a week before her 5th birthday and did just great on the bunny hill.  We have tickets to come up one more time this season.  Every person at Ski Brule that has ever waited on me in every location from rentals, lift tickets, lifts, instructors, to the folks serving food has ALWAYS been friendly.  I tell everyone I know that if they want a family friendly place to go, Ski Brule is the place.

 Thanks,

Becky Franz

Subject: Season Pass 2012/2013 Early Bird

Hello! We as usual had a blast earlier this week playing on your mountain! Thank you! Best Don is still there! He is awesome always great talking with him! We have visited quite a bit and didn't see him and got bummed but it turns out he has a little more responsibility around there so he isn't running lifts as much. Just so happy he is there and we got to see and talk to him! He is awesome! Anyway the other reason I am emailing you is to find out the price of early bird season passes for next year (just need to know adult price). Thanks so much! See you very soon!!!!

Subject: Our wonderful Ski Brule vacation

Just wanted to write you a quick note thanking you for our wonderful vacation we had at your resort. We headed North the week before Christmas from Texas on a quest to show our son what snow looked like (He had never seen it). We had no original destination...just to head North until we found snow. We discovered Ski Brule by accident and decided to stay.

It turned out to be everything we dreamed of when we decided on this vacation. Everyone there were so nice. Everyone from the minute we got went out of there way to make our stay as nice as possible. The front desk folks where awesome as were everyone else we met. Two people in particular were great: One one man (forget his name now) who helped us with Wednesday night tubing and later in the ski rental shop (turned out he was originally from Texas also). As well as the young woman who gave our son his snowboard lesson Thursday morning were exceptionally nice. Many thinks to all of you that made this a Christmas trip to remember.

We loved it so much we are already in preliminary plans to return next year.

Subject: Our fantastic week at Ski Brule

To Jess and the wonderful staff at Ski Brule,

Just wanted to write and tell you how much we love coming to ski and snowboard with all of you. Everyone, from management to housekeeping and all jobs in between does their absolute best to make sure our stay is comfortable and fun. When we had a problem with the hot water heater at Timber Lodge maintenance was at the door within 2 minutes of my call! WOW.

Ralda and all of our Jamaican friends are the best. They help on the lifts, with tubing and at the lodges. The are always smiling and so sweet and kind. They are always so patient with the grandkids and make them feel special. We want to especially thank Raymond,

Wayne, Howell (love the chicken dumpling soup) and all of the others who's names we didn't get. Ralda makes stopping at Homestead lodge one of the highlights of our day. We love her and the BBQ!

Jess, Thanks so much for helping me with my boots. It made all the difference for my week of skiing. I even conquered Timberdoodle and my fear of the steeper slopes! I feel like my skiing improved 100% this past week.

The trails are groomed to perfection. Thanks to all of the groomers and snow makers.

Thanks to Kyle for teaching Abby how to snowboard, you were a big help to her.

Tom, Kate and Shawna thanks for your smiles and help every morning. You make checking in, getting lift tickets and check out a breeze. Also Tom, thanks so much for your help with faxing our bank info to our realtor to help with the buying of our house. We didn't know how we were going to handle that situation being 400 miles from home but you made it happen.

I could go on forever singing the praises of Ski Brule, but suffice it to say that we will be back next year and love the fact that it feels like family when we are with you.

To all of you, and those I failed to mention, you are thanked from the bottom of my heart for making our vacation such a success.

Diane Eident for all of the Eidents from Crest Hill and Oswego, Illinois

Hello Jessica,

What a great weekend once again at Ski Brule. The hospitality that you and your staff extend to all the guests is second to none. I just wish we lived closer so we could ski your hill more often. My boys said it was the best race they took part in all year. When I asked why they said the race hill was great and all the prizes given out made it the best. Kids love to get stuff even if it is just something little. Thank you for all your hard work.

We look forward to coming back to Brule next year at Thanksgiving. Thanks again for all that you do to make your guests feel like family.

Sincerely,
George

Dear Jessica,

Eric wanted me to send this to you to say "Thanks" for all you did to help him at the Finale` this past weekend. They loved staying at the cabin! James said it was the "best sleep he'd ever had at a race". Post that on your blog!

As usual my son was up to his regular antics, and I thank you for dealing with him as you always do with a smile and a hug!

He and Eric are leaving Sunday for Steamboat. James is anxious to put his own mark on the JO's since Kyrstin's made hers there twice. She's racing FIS in New York this week and then was 1 0f 4 girls picked to race FIS in Italy. She leaves on Sunday ~lucky girl!

Hope you have the best season ever (according to facebook, you are still going strong)!

Many thanks and hugs! 'Til next season,
Kym

Hello Ski Brule Crew!

I'm writing you in regard to some recent Nastar runs that have yet to be posted into the Nastar database. We truly enjoyed racing and having fun through the gates at Brule! In fact, it was my son's first time ever, as well as my nephew's. I've noticed that you have race results posted on Nastar's site up through SAT FEB 26th. The kids and I did some runs on SUN 27th. We have been anxiously awaiting some official results via the Nastar site. Perhaps you post them weekly? Whatever it is, you have our full support and loyalty when it comes to choosing a resort to ski the weekend at. My "young'ns" are getting better and better....thanks to your well kept variety of runs mountainside. Hope to do some more racing before the season's over!
Thanks for looking into the Nastar info.

Chris,
I want to thank you for a great outing this past Sunday. Everyone in our group had a great time and the staff and facility were great!!
The only complaint I heard was the drive was to long, so for next year if you could move closer to Green Bay it would be great!!!

Again, Thank you very much,

Hello Chris& Jess,

We had such a wonderful time at Brule yesterday the 8th. Our skier that was injured 2 years ago was aglow with praise on conditions and the chairs. The cold weather was smoothened by the sunshine. Any sunshine is the best and this was our season’s first with the sun! The hard packed grooming was excellent and there were no complaints of Midwestice. Our elderly skiers especially enjoyed the “hand” with their ski bags & oversized totes.

Enjoy your day and thank you for such courteous and customer friendly service. Everyone in all locations were pleasant, friendly, smiling and helpful. Please let all crews know that.

Warm regards, Melanie and Jerry

Hi Jess!

I'm actually "Green Bay" Steve! I just wanted to thank you for holding my Atomic 412 heel piece. I returned the bindings to the local Atomic Rep who is going to assist me in getting a new pair based on the voluntary recall of that binding.
I had a great time skiing Sunday, and am doing a lot better after a collision with a stationary object on 12/31. Not the face plant a week earlier due to the binding failure! I'll see you this weekend!
By the way, your staff is always #1 in my book! You and your team consistently put the emphasis on the customer, and it certainly shows! So many little things including the lift attendants making a superior effort to keep the chairs clean and dry, and calling me by name when they see me, make me feel like part of the family! Please let all of them know how much we appreciate their efforts. And don't forget to thank the guys behind the scene who do the best job in the world of grooming the trails for us every day. Thanks again! Green Bay Steve

Ski Brule,

On December 27-29, there were six women (ranging in age 51-13 years of age) who ventured to Brule to Snow Board, Down Hill and Cross Country Ski. Everyone picks their favorite activity and some of the group even switched from one activity to another, which your staff allowed and accommodated with little difficulty. This year we decided to venture to your hills for 3 days instead of a one-day trip, and it was a FANTASTIC experience.

Both my sister and I have worked for Fortune 500 companies, a majority of our careers, and have been impressed with the customer service and friendliness of your resort year after year.

Keep up the great work and thank you for a wonderful time for our families; we have many memories of laughter and fun at Brule.

Jessica,

We had a wonderful weekend at Ski Brule. I continue to be delighted by the friendly atmosphere and staff………feels like a family.

My daughter and her 5 girlfriends had quite a memorable time, from snowboarding ( 2 of them had never strapped on a board in their lives) to “the barbecue” with karaoke their and then the highlight of Saturday night was karaoke at the bar, where the girls were on the microphone every other song………and singing oldies.

My oldest daughter (whose picture is up on the cafeteria on the back west wall) is coming in early February (3rd to 7tth) with a big group. They should be a lively bunch!!

Ski Brule Staff:
Happy New Year to all of you. This is just a short note to tell you how much I enjoyed visiting Bruel Mountain for your 2011 New Year's Eve celebration. My husband and I joined two other families and were were all impressed. There were skiers, snowboarders and non-skiers alike amongst us and we all had a good time. Most importantly, everyone on your staff was welcoming and helpful. We ate at the Homestead BBQ and met Nick Baumgartner who was very gracious. The whole experience there was delightful including the sleigh ride.
It is not often one comes across an organization doing such a good job so just had to let you know. I'm sure we will all visit Brule again as time allows."
~Sincerely,

Ski Brule -
I want to thank you for a wonderful day at Ski Brule on Wednesday, December 29th!!!

Last spring we had a mishap on a warm spring day. While we know those things happen you were gracious enough to send my family an incentive to return. We talked my daughter (9 year old) into giving "skiing" another try with your passes. We told her she would get to call the shots regarding runs, lunch and lift lines. Needless to say -- IT WORKED!!! She loved it!!!! Thank you Thank You Thank You!!!

Your staff is exceptional!!! The friendly service we received in the rental office was the best!! You obviously train your staff to make eye contact with each client, relate to them and then with a helpful smile get them out the door in a timely fashion!!! Also greeting us at the door upon our return with poles, skies, boots & helmets to take things off our hands is GREAT!!! Heck, Steve even helped my daughter get her ski boots off.

It is always easy to complain and critic businesses as we experience uncomfortable situations. However, it is my pleasure to make the effort to thank you for your graciousness, kindness and overall exceptional service. We will be back!! It is so fun to find a hometown business that exceeds every ski hill in the Twin Cities metro area!!!

We have even discussed spring skiing in Utah or Colorado!!!

Happy New Year!!
Julie (Glad to be an ex Yooper)... :)

To whom it may concern,

Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our first time skiing at Brule!
Everybody we had contact with at Brule was wonderful. From the gentleman at the
desk when we checked in, to the bartender, to the lift operators ( one handed out
chocolate as we got on!), to the people who cleaned the condos, everyone was
friendly and helpful. We really loved the family atmosphere and all the activities
for kids. Our group rented the entire third floor of the Pioneer Lodge this past
weekend and had a great time. I am also a Ski Patroller and after talking to the
Patrol Director and several others, I was convinced that this is where I want to
transfer to so, I filled out the paperwork. My family and I are now looking forward
to coming up several times next season. Thanks to everyone there for a fantastic
weekend!

Sincerely,

Dear Jessica & Stephen:

It is with great pleasure to say thank you, thank you for another weekend of fun and memories of Ski Brule on March 19-21, 2010. Your hospitality and service is so overwhelming and you should be proud of your staff for doing such a great job year after year. You could not ask for better weather - even with the warm weather, we could ski our favorite runs. Oh! the awesome Saturday night BBQ dinner at the Homestead lodge with all the cake and whipped cream, beer and wine - plus the serenading of love songs for our engaged couple was unforgettable - much appreciated. The karaoke was also a hit - I think all of the Sitzmarks were on the dance floor all at one time. I attached a collage of pictures to prove that we had so much fun.
Again, thanks so much for another great year at Ski Brule. As I said last year and I will say it again, "SKI BRULE ROCKS!".

Hello,

I've been meaning to write for a couple weeks now. I just wanted to let you
know that we absolutely had a blast at Ski Brule on my daughter Maddie's
birthday. I attached some photos. We'll definitely be back again for
Christmas and maybe again for Maddie's birthday next year! :-) Thanks!

I just wanted to share another excellent experience we had at "SKI BRULE" this past
weekend....
As we pulled into the lodging office on Friday the fun began-we had a
reservation since January for a birthday weekend get away March 19-21. Just as we
remembered from our previous years' visit the lodging office welcomed us with "open
arms." Everything from the "samples" of pulled pork sitting in a steamy crock pot on
the table to the offer of a late check out exceeded our expectations.
After checking in and settling into our cabin we decided to take a few quick
"runs" follows by a cocktail (or 2) in the lounge. We were not only impressed to see
that one of the staff had shifted from working in the office to bartending but still
had that great "customer service" attitude!

We had many laughs and got to meet some of the amazing staff from Jamaica. They
are not only fun but very committed and hard-working. Two qualities I feel really
make "SKI BRULE" what it is today. As our first night was winding down we were
offered shuttle services back to our cabin so we could rest up for the "BRULE BASH"
activities starting Saturday morning.
The costume contest was something I had researched and had to put on my
"thinking cap" to try to be original and win that season pass! So needless to say
out came the scuba gear complete with flippers, plastic bags, inflatable fish, and a
few pitchers of colored water in my attempt at "fame" or at least "1st prize!" It
worked and with great honor.........I won!!!!!
So to make my long story short....."SKI BRULE" I am honored to be your
guest-keep up the great attitudes, ideas, and fun! We will continue this tradition
for many years to come!
Thanks from the Omro Crew,
Ronelle

I visited Ski Brule with my husband and children this past Friday, March 5th. My two
kids were having their first snowboarding lesson (learn to ski/snowboard for
free-how awesome!). Unfortunately my daughter fell and hurt her arm while just
starting to get the hang of the bunny hill. After mentioning to a worker that my
daughter had just hurt herself she immediately called ski patrol to have her looked
at. Dan was so caring as he put Ashley at ease with funny riddles and so much
kindness. He made her feel less scared and explained everything he was doing while
examining her arm. She ended up with a sprain but also fun memories of the people
she met. I think in time she will try again, her brother absolutely loved
snowboarding.
People went out of their way to help us. As I stood watching my son someone noticed
that I had been standing awhile and brought me a chair to sit
on-how thoughtful!! Way to go-Thank you to everyone! You are a great team and we
appreciated all of your efforts to make sure our experience went well. I would
definitely visit your resort again.

Thanks again,
Lori B. and family

Thanks to everyone at Ski Brule (especially instructor Bob) for a great day
of skiing on Saturday February 27, 2010! I was so impressed with your staff
and the kindness they showed my daughter and me from the lift ticket
purchase, rental equipment counter & Megan's new buddy Bob.

I have been an avid skier for most of my life and have been fortunate to ski
a bunch of big mountains, but times such as they are, my family and I have
not been able to afford a day at the slopes for some time now. It was with
great happiness I found out about your friends and neighbors membership club
which made the investment in our day of fun even better!

We had fun tubing, eating and yes even skiing as the attached pictures will
show.

I will add your resort to my list of "big mountains!"

Thanks again,

I visited Brule the first time this past Friday. I was a chaperone for the
Greenville, WI middle school ski club. My two grandsons 13 & 12 both snowboard and
they love coming to Brule more than any other trip. Our next scheduled ski club trip
to Brule is March 6, 2010. I work as ski instructor at Nordic Mountain in Wisconsin.
I have been skiing for fifty years since I was 18 years old. I lived in New York
City so I skied the eastern mountains. We had a place in Beavercreek, CO for twenty
years but now my wife does not ski any more so we sold it. I have skied at a number
of Midwest areas but I have to say that Brule is by far the best. I was very
impressed with the facility and the staff who were very friendly and very service
oriented.
Walter

Hello Jessica,

We came and skied with you on Thursday and Friday. You made great friends with my son Gaven, who is 3 ½… the moose made quite the impression as well! I just wanted to say thank you for keeping Brule just as wonderful as I remember from when I learned to ski. I am so glad our kids learned to ski with you! We had a great experience and will try to make it back to visit you over spring break. Every instructor and employee that we came in contact with was wonderful. We will be smiling for weeks thinking about the great time that we had.

Thanks for all you do!

Christian, Alison, Ava and Gaven Marx

Gaven did make it down Maple Syrup, and Homestead on his own several times by the end of the day. To the amusement of many other skiers they heard my husband saying “Pizza, Pizza!” several times and even referred to Gaven as Pizza Boy!

November 25, 2009 - Hey i came to ski brule on saturday of opening weekend with a bunch of friends and had a blast on my first time out for the season. Towards the end of the day we eliminated all our layers down to our shorts and made a few runs down the hill. When we did this a ski brule photographer came out and took a bunch of pictures of my friends and I, both as a large group together as well as individually. My friends and i would greatly appreciate it if we could see those pictures! Whatever works best for you either to put them on your website for us, put them on your facebook page, or possibly email them to us. Please let me know if you would be able to help us out thanks a lot!

Ski Brule

The first of many snowboard vids I'll be pushing out this season. This was the most fun I have had shooting in a long while, truly the place I want to be!
~ Josh

On Monday January 25th the Freedom Ski club visited Ski Brule. I want to tell you how much your staff was appreciated during our visit. On of our parent chaperones had never been on skis before. She went through the group lesson, but did not feel comfortable asking for the additional help that she thought she might need. your staff recognized this and worked with her for several hours until she was comfortable enough to go onto the hill. This extra help was just what she needed to make her day all that it could be. She was able to go and ski with her children following the lesson and had a great day

The Entire Group had a great dat. We'll Be Back!

Thanks to those who went over & above what we expected of them.

Mike, Group Coordinator Freedom Ski Club

Tuesday, March 24, 2009: Our kids are growing so fast & involved in club sports (volleyball & basketball), we feared we wouldn't make it to Ski Brule this year to enjoy the slopes together. Fortunately, we can make it April 1 - 3 - no fooling! Everytime we come to Brule, we always have a great family get-away - we love the people, Ralda's BBQs, Brule Village & grilling out, & the 'frozen sunshine' (Jamaica style) hospitality. We can hardly wait! ~Bernie, Liz, Michaela, & Mitch

Wednesday, March 25, 2009: We were just there a weekend ago and I have to say our family just loves Ski Brule the best!!!!Very well groomed trails and very friendly staff making our family weekend ski trip fun and enjoyable! You are our #1 choice for best ski hill! ~ Wendy

Dear Jess!
As requested, here are our 2010 and 2011 Ski Brule Family pictures to add to our gallery in the Ski Brule Stories! 15 years this year!!!! And we love and look forward to it time and time again!
Thank you for ALL our memories, and for ALL your smiling faces year after year! It is what keeps us coming back for more ... hopefully for a very long time!
Ellie

Dear Ski Brule Family!
I have often read your letters, and thought to drop you a line and a photo sometime! Our family has been coming to Ski Brule since 1996! My kids have grown up on your mountain and look forward to our trip every year! We are the crazies at the Homestead Roast singing and in the bar waiting for the torchlight run! We missed our first year last year, as our oldest decided to get married in the middle of ski season ... can you believe it? ... Our "family" has grown to include several people that are "privileged" to be part of our Ski Brule weekend! And I can't tell you how many times we have bumped into people from ALL over who, when we mention Ski Brule, say they have been there and feel the same way we do! The most recent meeting actually came in Jamaica! My husband and I were on vacation and were speaking with a woman outside our resort. We mentioned how kind and warm the Jamaican people were and mentioned the Jamaican friends we met at Brule. She actually worked at Ski Brule years ago! Small world, huh?
Well, hope to see you all in Feb '09! Can't wait!!

Ellie

Hey~

Just an update from our previous letter! Here we are looking forward to 2010 Ski Brule and we cant believe it has been 15 years we have been coming to Brule! Here is our picture from 2009 to add to our Family Gallery! A few new faces and some of the old faces are getting older and taller! Thanks for all the fun and all the memories Ski Brule!

Ellie

Winter 2009: My family visited Ski Brule this past weekend and had a really fun getaway. Mostly, we were truly thrilled with the instructor and ski program for our children. Our youngest child was not excited about going skiing and putting up quite a "fight" to try it. Kevin worked with him and was so patient and did exactly what he needed to get him out there! Before the morning session was done, our son went from "hating" skiing to "loving" skiing. And, he even went back for the afternoon session with no issues! Kevin, thank you for your patience and understanding and doing exactly what was needed to help our son love skiing!! We are so grateful!! You do a wonderful job!! ~ Sincerely, Traci & John
Winter 2009: I want to say "thank you" for the great time I had at your ski resort on Sunday, Feb 22. My grandsons (12, 8, 6) gave me a day of skiing with them for my 64th birthday. It has been 15 years since I did any downhill skiing and I was amazed at how quickly it came back to me. However, I must tell you how impressed I was with the resort, its condition and most importantly the people working there. We were greeted warmly at the rental station. Everyone there was willing to help and made sure all of the equipment was fitted properly and that everyone had what was needed. At the end of the day, again the staff was there to help with all of the returns. How great!!! At the lifts the men working the top and bottom were friendly and saw to it that everyone was safe at all times. I have skied in several different places in the USA, but I have never been treated some warmly. My family just started skiing this year (at your resort) and they told me how impressed they were with the place and the instructors. I'm sure they will get more involved in the sport and I sure plan to get back into it. Ski Brule will become our "home resort". Please pass along my "thank you" to the greatest ski staff in the USA. ~~Tom, Sturgeon Bay, WI

Winter 2009: Today I received a gift from Ski Brule, and I just wanted to write and say thank you!!!! Apparently, I won the online drawing and received a lift ticket as my prize. I was very excited that I had won and can't tell you enough how much I appreciate it. My boyfriend and I visited Ski Brule last winter for the first time and our visit was absolutely amazing! Every thing was perfect in every single way and we just had an amazing time. My boyfriend and I went to High School together and we were both in the ski club way back in the day. We hadn't seen each other since high school graduation back in 1982 and we just met again this last September at our 25th Class Reunion. Our visit to Ski Brule last year was the first time that either one of has had skied since High School, and we just had such a good time. I have never felt so relaxed in my whole life on a weekend vacation and your staff and facilities are impeccable. Again, I just wanted to thank you so much and hopefully we will see you sometime soon! ~Sincerely,Vicki

I want to thank Gene again, at the rental dept. for his outstanding service. What a great example of professionalism as usual. He is always talking to the kids and getting them excited about going on to the hill. Great job. Also, I would like to thank Steve for allowing us to use the electricity for our motor home. One of the kids got sick that day and it sure came in handy to have the power hooked rather then run a generator all day. It made it a great weekend for traveling 8 hours to get there. I would like to send some awesome pictures of us having fun at Brule. We were tailgating, cooking and eating as a family outside, and at the Homestead Lodge, would you like some of these? I thought they might be good for your brochure. We travel quite a distance and have a whopping great time.
Thanks again Steve for the heat in our motor home and Gene for the rentals. ~Steve, Goodrich, Michigan (originally from Stambaugh)

Just saying Hi after a great weekend at Brule! Thanks so much! You all work so hard to make sure everything is perfect for your guests! We had an absolute ball! The kids just giggled night after night! ( and most of the time we were in bed by 9) Snow was great! (Ron figured it was WAY better than Copper) I had so much fun skiing, my knees still hurt! (and that's WITH the Advil and Glucosamine) It was so fun to see you so much! Just wish you could PLAY with us once in a while! Talk to you soon, Jessica! Thanks for the Great Thanksgiving Weekend Memories! ~ Sandy Dries, WKLH Radio

Winter 2009: I would like to take this time to extend my thanks to everyone at Ski Brule in saying, "thank you, thank you" for your outstanding customer service and making us feel welcomed. Ski Brule rocks with your friendliness and helpfulness. Most of all, we had such a fabulous fun time that no one wanted to go home. I passed a notebook to everyone on the bus on the way home for comments and one person wrote, "I had TOO much fun! How is that possible?" I did not hear one person complain about anything. Everything was just awesome - the Saturday night BBQ, Kevin, the vocalist and guitarist, sleigh ride, torchlight parade, snowball dance, the chalets, shuttle bus service - wow - what more could we ask for? Lots of good memories! I skied for the first time in 2 years and enjoyed every minute of it. Please keep the trail, "Maple Syrup" as it is - so many of us went down it several times and totally enjoyed cruising down the hill. Others had fun snowshoeing, snow tubing and cross country skiing as well. If you're curious to know more about our club, you can visit us at our website, www.sitzmark.org. You will find out that we are more than just a ski club and we have over 300 members. We thoroughly enjoy having a fun time in no matter what we do. You can be assured that we will be back to Ski Brule next year... See you in 2010! Thanks again. ~Sincerely, Jean, Northern Trip Director, Sitzmark Ski Club of Milwaukee

My son and I came up to visit Ski Brule this weekend to get our snowboards a little snowy. We had a great time snowboarding down the hills and learning new things. My son Samir learned to do an ollie and a 180 ollie to face plant! All in all it was a great time. We also visited the Bear's Den and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Here are a couple of pictures of Samir (6 years) going down the hill. He learned to snowboard last season there and he loves coming back. ~ Brian (dad) and Samir (son) from Chicago.

Hi,

We just finished a great week at Ski Brule. We Stayed in the Alpine Ranch and Skied from Monday to Friday. We loved the house. The kids had their own room with bunk beds, and loved playing pool and ping pong in the rec room. We all enjoyed the hot tub and had plenty of room to relax after a day of skiing.

The weather was great. We only had sun 2 days, but the temps were mild and there was little wind. We even had new snow on Wednesday morning. The runs were in great condition and we skied every one. The kids really loved Timber Doodle. I think we made that run more than any other. We enjoyed the skiing so much we stayed a day longer than we had planned.

The whole staff was really helpful and friendly. And being there mid-week, we felt like we had the whole place and staff all to ourselves. It was really an amazing week.

We enjoyed getting to know the staff as they helped us throughout the week. Simone helped us with rentals when we arrived and then also worked our tubing on Thursday and then was at lunch on Friday. We saw Tim most days on the lifts and then at the Tubing Thursday night. Steven was at our Marshmallow Roast and then helped us when we wanted to extend our rentals an extra day. Dennis helped us with the indoor marshmallow roast and we saw him each day in the Homestead lodge. We also saw him Thursday night at the BBQ. We ate far too much, but the food was so good it was hard to stop. Larry and Ralda were also great in the Homestead. Eddy took care of us at Dinner in the Hillside on the Sunday night we arrived. Sandy in the Bear’s Den helped us with setting up lessons and getting our souvenirs. Tom and Joseph in the lodging office took care of us when we called or stopped in with questions. Bob gave the kids a great ski lesson and Tate got us home from the BBQ on the shuttle. Patrick helped us with rentals and got us to the Homestead via the Sleigh on Thursday night. We even got to meet Sophie at our Marshmallow roast. The kids loved playing with her and petting her. There were many more great folks who helped us, but we just can’t remember everyone’s name.

All said, we had a fantastic vacation at Ski Brule. You really are the “Family Ski Resort”.

Thanks for every thing!

Dear Ski Brule,

Five of us from Door County came to Ski Brule for the weekend. We
stayed at The Ponderosa for 3 nights. All five of us skied on
Saturday and two of us skied on Sunday. We loved the price of $60.00
per car load! Since three out of the five had to rent, it was a great
savings.

Everywhere we went the staff was WONDERFUL! From the start of being
greeted by Richerd at late night check-in to George greatting us as we
drove in to ski. We then encounterd Bob at the Nastar race who was so
much fun and very encouraging! After a wonderful day of skiing, we
went back to the Ponderosa to lounge. We then took advantage of the
wonderful BBQ dinner at at the Homestead Lodge. Being greeting by a
wonderful woman (name unknown) we boarded the sleigh to ride to the
top. Upon entering the Homestead we were greeted by your wonderful
staff including Ralda. Unfortunately, we forgot our coupons for the
discounted dinner. However, Chris Kennedy remembered us and validated
to the staff we were indeed in earlier and she did give us coupons.

Dinner was wonderful! The service was fantastic (including the
friendly man that walked around making sure we all had plenty of
water). As we were leaving the Homestead, a very friendly woman (name
unknown but she was working the tubbing hill) was gracious enough to
take our photo and have fun with us while doing it.

Sunday the two of us that skied were very impressed by the bartender
at the main lodge and his love of what he does. He was very
knowledgeable and expressed how well the management and staff is to
work with.

We were even more impressed to see the owners/managers clearing
tables, interacting with guests, and working to assure the amazing
hospitality. Overall, we were VERY impressed by the hospitality and
service given to us on our weekend away.

Keep doing what you are doing – we will tell others and we will be
back again!

Thank you!

February 2, 2009: I really wanted to thank you all for again making our ski trip a wonderful one. We have a group of four families that started skiing together back in the early nineties when we were in college, and we have skied in many places, but in the last few years, we discovered Brule, and it has quickly become our favorite. In our years of skiing together, our families have grown and changed and our abilities and needs have become more diverse, but we feel we have finally found the place that is perfect for all of us, yet surprisingly affordable. In our group, the children range from three to fourteen, and the skill levels of the adults vary almost as widely, but there are hills perfect for everyone. My six-year-old daughter just loves "Maple Syrup," and it has become one of my favorites too; it's the longest, most beautiful and most fun beginner hill I have ever seen. Our group's fearless teenagers are happy too, even the snowboarders, as they continually seek out greater challenges. But, by far, the quality that sets Brule apart from all the other places we've skied is the wonderful staff that makes all of us (and we are a racially diverse group too) feel so welcome and helps put nervous skiers at ease. From the daycare staff who help comfort children fearful about being away from their parents; to the Ski-Wee teachers who show small children that they can ski if they can remember "Pizza" and "French Fries"; to the rental staff who help teach our kids about responsibility ("Whose job is it to carry your skis?"); to the friendly staff person who takes time to see if our three-year-old wants to meet the dog behind the rental counter; to the instructor who stops on the slopes to hand out candy to young skiers, it seems everyone at Brule has a personal commitment to making sure that our experience here is a good one. I feel like this level of dedication and friendliness is rare in most commercial establishments, and I commend you for it. So, again, I want to thank you all very much. We will be back - again and again. ~ Sincerely, Eric

I want to take a moment to Thank each of you for the outstanding customer service that my family received on our recent visit to Ski Brule. (1/9-1/11). Every contact that I had from buying pre-season tickets, making the chalet reservation, emails and calls to get clarifications on questions was handled with utmost professionalism! In these trying times it seems that many places of business struggle to have a superior workforce, but yours just gets better year after year!

Thank you especially to Jan in the office who helped with lodging questions and always greeted us with a smile! Thank you also to the bartenders in the main lodge -- Susie and Tony. They both gave excellent service - with a smile! Our bus shuttle driver "Kenny Kat" also made us smile every time we rode with him. Lastly, thanks to the staff @ SKIwee, that helped get our 4 year old moving down the hill and built his confidence.

We all agreed - SKI BRULE is our favorite!!! Thanks again, we look
forward to skiing more with you this winter.

Kim

Dec 23rd, 2009 Thanks, Brule- we are excited to be going to Brule in March. We so much enjoyed our stay with you two years ago. The beautiful people at Brule took very good care of us.

Paul and Diane

Dear Staff at Ski Brule,

We visited you on Friday and we had a blast. It was my five year old daughter Kaitlyn’s first time snowboarding and it could not have gone any better. From the time we arrived to the time we left the service was top notch. Jessica helped my daughter carry her equipment and told her all about Ski Brule. Chucky signed us up for the friends and family card and went out of her way to make us feel welcome in the lodge. She also remembered our daughters name every time we came back into the lodge. Also Corey the snowboard instructor was great! He took a five year old with no experience and had her snowboarding in less than an hour. As always the conditions on the hill were perfect. After being to most of the ski hills in Wisconsin and Michigan we always love coming back to Ski Brule. You made our family feel like VIPs. Thank you so much. We will be back!

Thank you,

Mark, Heather, and Kaitlyn Fortin

I brought my son, Justin, to Ski Wii on Saturday. He had a blast! Thank you Jennifer

After a family ski trip to Ski Brule last Christmas, our boys had so much fun that they enrolled in your Learn to Snowboard program in January. They loved it, and as a result, received snowboards for Christmas this year. (Your snowboard/boots/bindings package at the Bear's Den is a fantastic deal!!) We spent 3 days skiing and snowboarding and loved every minute of it! Your staff is amazing as well...so friendly and helpful. We can't wait to get back. ~ Scott and Julie, Durand, IL

Hi Jessica, Congratulations on another wonderful race at Brule and the Brule Cup. It was great for the athletes that won the Cup and I was excited for them. It is a prestigious Cup! Thank you so much for having us stay at the Lower Eagle's Nest. It was very comfortable and we enjoyed staying there. You and Steve treat us so well! We have enjoyed our visits to Brule through out the years since our children were small and have continued to enjoy being involved at your hill. It was really fantastic that the wiring for Timing worked out without any glitches this weekend! Thank you too for having your workers help us with hauling equipment to and from our car. Enjoy your week Jessica! ~ Jerry Acosta, USSA Region 2 Central Ski Association
