Welcomes You!
We are looking forward to your visit!

"We love coming to ski & snowboard with all of you. Everyone, from management to housekeeping and all jobs in between does their absolute best to make sure our stay is comfortable and fun! Ralda & our Jamaican friends are the best! They help on the lifts, with tubing and at the lodges. They are always smiling and so sweet and kind. They are so patient with the grandkids and make them feel special. Jess, thanks so much for helping me with my boots. It made all the difference for my week of skiing. I even conquered Timberdoodle and my fear of the steeper slopes. I feel my skiing improved 100% this past week. The trails are groomed to perfection thanks to the groomer and snowmakers. Tom, Kate & Shauna thanks for your smiles and help every morning. You make check in, getting tickets and check out a breeze! I could go on forever singing the praises of Ski Brule, but suffice it to say that we will be back next year and love the fact that it feels like family when we are with you. To all of you at Ski Brule, you are thanked from the bottom of my heart for making our vacation such a success!" ~ Eident Family

It's About Snow!
Ski Brule will provide the best possible conditions at all times. Ski Brule will be the first to open and the last to close. Ski Brule has kept this promise for over 25 years because of the dedication and amazing snowmaking capabilities of our veteran snowmaking crew. As soon as the temperatures drop (even as early as October), snowmaking is underway at Ski Brule and continues through the spring to ensure the longest season in the Midwest, with the best conditions. Great snow can't happen without great grooming! It's the grooming crew that turns the piles of snow into the perfect corduroy, terrain and parks we all love. The combination of snowmaking, dedication and grooming makes Ski Brule's snow the best there is!

Gold Medalist 2011 Winter X Games & 2010 Olympian Nick Baumgartner
Gold Winner In ESPN 2011 Winter X Games!
Nick Baumgartner achieved another of his dreams in 201, winning Gold at the ESPN Winter X Games. Nobody expected a rider from Ski Brule , with a broken collarbone, to b e the one who ended Nate Holland's unprecedented winning streak but he did! "I was hungry for this," said Baumgartener, 29, a 205 pound former college linebacker from Ski Brule. "I came out to Colorado two weeks early because I didn't get picked for the World Championship team, but that gave me more time to train for this. Unfortunately that's when I broke my collarbone, but it almost got me in the right mindset, because I wasn't worried about getting out there and killing everyone. I just wanted to have fun and stay upright." When he won, he grabbed his 6 year old son, Landon, and hoisted him into the air. "To see the look on his face, to have your boy proud of you, there's nothing better, " Baumgartner said.

ASPEN, CO (Jan. 29, 2011) – Nick Baumgartner (Iron River, MI) held nothing back Saturday as he put the pain of a broken collar bone on the back burner to take his first Winter X Games gold medal. Reigning X Games champ Nate Holland's (Squaw Valley, CA) five-year winning streak came to an end as he finished in third to take bronze.

Baumgartner was a powerhouse in each of his heats throughout the day. In spite of his injury he was still able to manage fast pull starts and keep his lead out on the course.

"Fifteen screws and a plate, but nothing was holding me back today," Baumgartner said.

The day was a special one for Baumgartner, whose son Landon made it out to watch his dad compete in person for the first time. According to Baumgartner, that was a huge motivation for him throughout the day.

"Knowing that my boy was at the bottom was so phenomenal," Baumgartner said as he held Landon in celebration of his victory. "It got me down here every time just coming around the corner knowing that he would be watching. To win is unreal. I am so happy to do this in front of my boy."
